Announcing the WDC 2017 Awards

Nominations are being solicited from the WDC membership for the Advocate of the Year Award, Distinguished Professional Service Award and Government Service Award. Your nominations are invited and the deadline is April 1, 2018. The Board of Directors will select the awardees, who will be recognized at the August 2-3, 2018 WDC Annual Conference in the Wisconsin Dells, WI.

There are broad guidelines for the awardees, so please consider submitting a member for either award and provide your reasons for the individual’s nomination.

Deadline: April 1, 2018


Advocate of the Year Award

Purpose: To recognize the member with the most defense work success of the prior calendar year.
Selection Process: Call for nominees sent to the membership. Nominees reviewed and awardee selected by the Board of Directors.

Distinguished Professional Service Award

Purpose: To recognize a longtime member who has given consistent effort to grow and improve WDC.
Selection Process: Call for nominees sent to the membership. Nominees reviewed and awardee selected by the Board of Directors.

Government Service Award

Purpose: To recognize an individual for service to the public in a governmental capacity.
Selection Process: Selected by the WDC Board of Directors.

Publication Award

Purpose: To recognize a well-written cutting edge article written for the WDC Journal.
Selection Process: Selected by the WDC Journal Editor.
